The Glow-Up FAQ

Got Questions? We’ve Got Glow Answers

From product picks to shipping details, simple answers to help you choose the right products, use them well, and glow with confidence.

1. Which Palette product should I start with?

If your main concern is dark spots or post-acne marks, start with the Ultimate Dark Spot Removal Cream or Clear Skin Serum. If you want brighter, glowier skin, go for the Glow Renew Serum or Ultimate Organic Whitening Cream. If your concern is oiliness, visible pores, or uneven texture, the Pore Therapy Serum is the best first pick.

If you are new to skincare, keep it simple: choose one treatment product first, use it consistently for 2 to 3 weeks, and see how your skin responds before adding more.

Still unsure? A good beginner routine is:

  1. Cleanser

  1. One Palette serum or cream

  1. Moisturizer

  1. Sunscreen in the daytime

2. What is the difference between the serums and the creams?

Palette serums are lighter and usually target a specific concern more directly. Creams are richer and help seal in moisture while treating the skin.

A simple way to think about it:

  • Serums = lightweight treatment step

  • Creams = treatment plus moisture

If you like a minimal routine, a cream may feel easier. If you already use moisturizer and want a more targeted active, a serum may fit better.

You can also use both in one routine: apply serum first, then cream.

3. How do I use Palette products in the right order?

Apply products from lightest to richest texture.

A simple routine looks like this:

  1. Cleanse

  1. Serum

  1. Cream or moisturizer

  1. Sunscreen in the morning

If you are using more than one treatment, do not start everything at once. Introduce one product first for several days. This makes it easier to tell what works for your skin and helps reduce irritation.

If your skin is sensitive, start with once a day or every other day.

4. How long will it take to see results?

This depends on the product and your skin concern. Some customers notice a more radiant look quickly, while concerns like dark spots and uneven tone usually take more time.

As a general guide:

  • Brightening or glow: may be noticeable sooner

  • Dark spots and post-acne marks: often need a few weeks of consistent use

  • Texture and pore appearance: usually improve gradually

The biggest mistake is stopping too early. Use the product consistently and give your skin time to respond.

5. Can I use more than one Palette product together?

Yes, but keep it sensible. If you want to combine products, start slowly and avoid overloading your skin with too many actives at once.

A safe approach:

  • Start with one product

  • Add a second only after your skin is comfortable

  • Use sunscreen daily, especially with brightening products

If your skin starts feeling tight, stingy, or unusually dry, reduce how often you use the products and simplify your routine for a few days.

6. What should I do if my skin feels irritated after using a product?

First, stop using the product for a short time and let your skin calm down. Focus on a gentle cleanser, a basic moisturizer, and sunscreen.

Then ask yourself:

  • Did I use too much?

  • Did I start multiple new products at once?

  • Did I apply it too often too quickly?

When you restart, use a smaller amount and apply it less often. If irritation continues, stop using it and contact support.

If you have very sensitive skin, patch testing before full use is the safest option.

7. Do I need sunscreen when using brightening products?

Yes. This is one of the most important skincare questions customers ask too late.

If you are trying to fade dark spots or improve uneven tone, daily sunscreen matters because sun exposure can make pigmentation look worse again. Even the best brightening routine will struggle if skin is not protected.

A simple rule:

  • Morning: treatment plus sunscreen

  • Night: treatment without sunscreen

If you skip sunscreen often, results may take longer or feel inconsistent.

8. What if I ordered the wrong item or received the wrong product?

If you received the wrong product, contact Palette support within 7 days at  support@palette-skin.com  and the team can help arrange an exchange.

If you ordered the wrong item yourself, check the order as soon as possible and contact support quickly. If the order has not been processed yet, there may still be a chance to help. If it has already been shipped or opened, changes may not be possible.

For hygiene reasons, opened and unsealed skincare products are generally not returnable.

9. How much is shipping and when is it free?

Palette charges a flat shipping fee of S$5.

Shipping is free for orders above S$45.

If your cart is just below the free shipping threshold, some customers choose to add another item so they get more value instead of paying for delivery.

If you are ordering a single product, you may want to compare the total cost with a multi-item order before checking out.

10. Are Palette products suitable for all skin types?

Palette products are designed to be approachable for a wide range of skin types, but no skincare product is universal for every single person.

If you have:

  • Sensitive skin: patch test first and introduce products slowly

  • Oily or acne-prone skin: start with lighter textures like serums

  • Dry skin: layer with a moisturizer or choose a cream-based routine

The best routine is the one your skin can stay consistent with. Start simple, watch how your skin responds, and adjust from there.
